Jyri Lavikainen is a Research Fellow in the Finnish Foreign Policy, Northern European Security and NATO research programme at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. His research focuses on nuclear deterrence, deterrence theory, Russian foreign and security policy, and great power politics.
Lavikainen graduated from the University of Helsinki in 2016 with a Master’s degree in Political Science.
