FIIA seeks Programme Director and Research Fellows for programme period 2023–2025

The Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA) is now seeking a Programme Director  for the period of 1.1.2023–31.12.2027 and researchers for the period of 1.1.2023-31.12.2025.

At FIIA, research is primarily conducted under research programmes. The organisation and administration of each research programme are arranged to enable interaction and cooperation between researchers and research groups.

Four research programmes for the programme period of 2023–2025 are:
1. Finnish Foreign Policy and Northern European Security
2. The European Union and Strategic Competition
3. Russia, the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood, and Eurasia
4. Global Security and Governance

Programme Director

This position is located in the Finnish Foreign Policy and Security in Northern Europe research programme.  

Successful performance of these duties will require broad expertise and substantial international experience, preferably in research-related functions. For the successful performance of these tasks, a doctoral degree and fluency in English are required.

Researchers

Applications are welcome from researchers in different stages of their research careers, both at doctoral and master’s levels. Successful performance in this position requires expertise in the subject area of the research programme, and readiness to work in a think-tank type community of researchers.
