The Finnish EU Policy in Changing World and Europe

Auditorium of the Finnish Parliament
22.10.2013 11:00 - 14:00
The Finnish Government’s Report on Finland’s EU policy has been prepared and presented
amid major changes in the global and European setting. Global power shifts and challenges
related to the sustainable development are shaping the EU’s external environment, and
they are increasingly lived out throughout the Union. Relatedly, the EU’s economic crisis
has had an impact on EU’s internal dynamics and development. What are the key global
and European trends? What kind of implications does these have for the EU and its member
states? What is the way forward for Finland in the European Union?
