The objectives of this Dialogue Workshop are to present and discuss the initial research findings of the Joint Policy Study “Transformation in Tunisia: the First Five Years”, led by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs and to secure the interaction between policy research and policy-making in order to contribute to more inclusive policy-making processes.
The Dialogue Workshop will gather a total of 25 participants, including the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), the five main authors of the Joint Policy Study, the reviewer, up to seven researchers from the EuroMeSCo think tank network and a number of national and regional stakeholders/practitioners.
The discussions will be built on the following four themes:
- Trust, The Weak Link of the Tunisian Transition
- Economic Crisis and (Youth) Unemployment in Tunisia
- An–Nahda. A Movement at the Crossroads between Pragmatism and Ideology by Cengiz
- The Emergence of Jihadism in Tunisia: New Challenges and New Threats
The Dialogue Workshop forms part of the activities implemented within the framework of the action “Euro-Mediterranean Political Research and Dialogue for Inclusive Policymaking Processes and Dissemination through Network Participation”, co-funded by the European Union and IEMed.
