The Ministry of Justice is preparing a parliamentary committee for the revision of the Act on the Autonomy of Åland. President Tarja Halonen has stated that she is available as the chair of the committee while vice-chairs would be parliamentary counsellor Gunnar Jansson and Director of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs Teija Tiikainen.
