In 2013, FIIA will launch a research project on critical maritime infrastructures in the Arctic and Baltic Sea using Finnish Defence Scientific Advisory Board (MATINE) funding. Meanwhile, the Eilen Archive will be developed further using a Kone Foundation grant.
