FIIA Leading Researcher Katja Creutz’s article “Nordic Experiences in the UN Human Rights Council: A Tour d’Horizon of 2019 with Iceland and Denmark” has been published in the Nordic Journal of Human Rights. The article evaluates the exceptional situation when the two Nordic countries had a seat simultaneously in the UN Human Rights Council in 2019. According to the author, Nordic countries contribute to the work of the council and serve as a counterbalance for states known for their human rights violations.
