The Inauguration Seminar of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs was held in 7 February 2008. The speakers of the Inauguration Seminar were Mr. Sauli Niinistö, Speaker of the Parliament and professor Alison Bailes from the University of Iceland. The opening address was given by Minister Antti Tanskanen, Chairman of the Board of the Institute, and the conluding remarks by Institute’s Director, professor Raimo Väyrynen. Inauguration festivities continued with a cocktail party at the new premises of the FIIA.
