The influx of refugees in Europe generates vivid discussion on the global and regional causes and consequences of the phenomenon as well as on the ways to deal with them. It is also causing concern on the role of the EU regarding the issue. How does the EU have to adapt to the situation? How do the member states respond? Are there any points of comparison to other similar refugee situations across the world?
The influx of refugees is crosscutting the expertise of the FIIA in many ways, hence some of the researchers decided to write a series of columns on the topic from the view point of researchers’ own areas of interest. Texts reflect the opinions of the individual authors.
